Liverpool to beat Man City in pursuit for Bundesliga striker

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool set to face competition from their Premier League rivals, Manchester City, as the Citizens have also entered the race to sign Borussia Dortmund young sensation Christian Pulisic.

The 17-year-old midfielder rising star is enjoying a phenomenal breakthrough season, becoming the youngest player in Bundesliga history to net two league goals. His exploits haven’t gone unnoticed with Real Madrid and Liverpool monitoring his progress.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp signed Pulisic as a 16-year-old during his Dortmund tenure and allowed him to train with the senior squad.The German manager would like to bring him to Anfield if his encouraging development continues but faces stiff competition.

The reports from the Sun claim that incoming Man City manager Pep Guardiola would like to sign the American international, who made his national team debut against Guatemala in March. Pulisic has made eight appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side this season and managed to score two goals.
