The Blues may lose French centre-back Kurt Zouma this summer.
As the Italian newspaper, Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests, Roma closely monitoring the young defender’s current situation.
Italian giants want the 21-year-old defender as a possible replacement for Antonio Rudiger if the German star leaves.
And Italian publication CalcioMercatoWeb report The Reds are in advanced talks to land the 23-year-old Rudiger, who would be available at £15m.
Rudiger is currently on loan at Serie A big boys from Bundesliga club Stuttgart, however, seems set to join the Serie A side this summer as the deal involves a mandatory purchase right of £7m.
So if Roma chooses to make an immediate profit from the German centre-half, Roma will go for Chelsea’s star.
And he could be tempted to leave Stamford Bridge this summer for the Stadio Olimpico in search of Champions League football.
Kurt Zouma, who moved to Chelsea from Saint-Etienne in 2014 for £12m, has been out of action due to knee injury damage since February.
Few years ago, Zouma was named by British newspaper The Observer as one of the ten most promising youngsters in Europe. The newspaper said: “Blessed with exceptional power and technique, Zouma is also coveted by many for his leadership qualities.”
