Torino striker Andrea Belotti is a better forward than Gabriel Batistuta, according to Fabio Capello.
The Italian is the joint-top scorer in Serie A with 23 goals this campaign and has been strongly linked with transfers to Chelsea, as well as Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Italian has a €100 million (£86.6m) release clause in his current contract with Torino, and the club are settled that it must be met for a transfer to materialise this summer.
However, if he makes a move, Capello thinks a team will be signing one of the best in Europe.
“He is one of the best strikers in Europe, He knows how to move and can do everything. He is fast and powerful, and technically perhaps he is even better than Batistuta.” – the ex-England manager told Radio Anch’io Sport.
Meanwhile, John Terry has been offered a new one-year deal at Chelsea.
The West Londoners skipper will have the opportunity to remain at Stamford Bridge as he proceeds to fight for his coaching badges.
The Belgian star Eden Hazard has also been offered a new deal at the club, with Real Madrid interested in signing the Belgium winger.
Terry had been linked with transfer elsewhere, however, according to TalkSPORT, he is believed to want to remain at the club, after staying on this campaign on a one-year agreement.
The four-time Premier League champion will stay in West London at least another 12 months and notwithstanding the offer of a limited number of matches, he will work on developing his post-playing career ideas.
Antonio Conte is pleased to keep John Terry on for another 12 months.
